Personalised certificates of achievement for Lake District peaks, Wainwrights, and long-distance walks

Personalised Mountain & Walking Completion Certificates

At The Cumbrian Way, our personalised certificates are made for people who love Cumbria and the Lake District, and want a finish-line memento that feels special, whether you walked, cycled or ran. Each design celebrates the place, not just the tick on a list, with original artwork by local Cumbrian artist David Pooley. You add the recipient's name and the date of achievement, and we handle the printing and delivery. These walking certificates are the ideal gift for your amazing achievement.

Certificate vs. Certificate of Achievement

A “certificate” can mean anything from a regulated qualification to a friendly “well done” from a club or organiser. With a certificate of achievement, the point is simple recognition, like a completion certificate for finishing a long-distance walk, such as the Coast to Coast, The Cumbria Way or reaching a summit such as Scafell Pike.

Personalised Local Challenge Certificates: Lake District Fells & Long-Distance Walks

Best for walkers and climbers who want a completion certificate that feels tied to the landscape they’ve just conquered. They include name and date personalisation and artwork by David Pooley that captures Lake District character.

How Our Personalised Certificates Work

Ordering is simple because the hard work should be on the hill, not at checkout. Choose your certificate design, add your name and date of completion, and we will print, pack and deliver it to you. It’s a straightforward way to turn a brilliant day out into something you can keep.

What You Can Personalise

Personalisation is the bit that makes it feel like yours, rather than “someone’s template with your name dropped in”. For our personalised certificates, the recipient's name is required, and the date completed is optional. If you did the route years ago, you can still add the original date of achievement.

Sizes, Paper Quality & Finish

Print quality matters more than people expect, especially when the certificate is going on a wall next to photos and maps. Our certificates are A4 only, which keeps framing easy and avoids the “where on earth do I buy a frame?” problem. The frame is not included, so you can match it to your décor, your gear room, or your hallway of glory.

Packaging is designed to protect the print in transit, and it will either arrive on a backing board wrapped in cellophane or rolled into a packing tub. Dispatch is typically within 3 to 5 days, with delivery options shown at checkout.

A Keepsake Worth Framing

A good day in the Lake District has a habit of sticking with you. A good print does too, especially when it’s tied to the exact fell, skyline, or route that made you grin, swear, and then grin again.

The Cumbrian Way certificates are designed as proper keepsakes, not throwaway paperwork. With David Pooley’s original artwork and your name and date personalisation, it’s the kind of “I earned that” reminder you’ll actually display.

A Thoughtful Gift for Walkers

Some people buy their own certificate as a quiet reward after a big effort, and that’s reason enough. Others get one as a “well done” from friends or family, especially when they’ve watched the training, the early starts, and the post-walk hobble around the kitchen.

They also work brilliantly for walking groups, charities, and clubs running group challenges or events. If you want something that feels local to Cumbria and the Lake District, and not like a generic download, a personalised certificate hits the mark.

Popular Lake District Peaks & Routes

If you’re building a little collection, start with the classics people love to talk about in the pub afterwards. Wainwrights are a big one, whether it’s a first summit or a long-term mission, and they pair naturally with an achievement certificate that names the fell.

Long-distance walks are just as popular for completion certificates, especially when the route becomes part of your year. For ideas beyond individual peaks, you can also explore The Cumbrian Skyline Range and pick a design that matches the challenge you’ve actually done.

New Certificates Added Regularly

Our range is growing, because there’s always another summit, another skyline, and another excuse to get out in the fresh air. Designs are typically grouped into Mountains & Fells and Long Distance Walks, which makes browsing quicker when you already know what you’ve completed.

If your challenge isn’t listed yet, check back soon or contact us, because new personalised certificates are added regularly.
