Artist David Pooley
The Cumbrian Way showcases the artwork of Cumbrian artist, David Pooley. David is Known best for his expressive mixed-media work inspired by the Lake District’s landscapes and wildlife.
Self-taught and based in Cumbria, David uses pencil, charcoal, pastel, and acrylics to bring character and charm to his subjects – particularly the iconic Herdwick sheep, which have become a signature theme in his work.
With a background in graphic design, David has been a full-time artist since 2010, exhibiting in galleries and shops across the region and beyond. He is also the founder of Herdwick Publishing, supplying greeting cards to trade customers.
